Behind the Bar
Headed by the multi award-winning
Antonio Dandrea and team, The Ascot Bar makes an
impressive place to sit back and enjoy a drink.
Antonio joined us from Hotel Richemond in Geneva. He
previously worked in Browns Hotel where he won UK Bartenders
National Cocktail Championships 2006, going on to the World
Championships as well as being officially recognised for
making the Best Bloody Mary in London!

A varied menu offers a selection
of soups, salads, sandwiches and light meals and following in
the footsteps of Anna, Seventh Duchess of Bedford credited for
introducing the Afternoon Tea to England, we serve savouries,
scones and pastries in The Ascot Bar from 1.00pm - 5.00pm.
From 5.00pm The Ascot Bar transforms into an
intimate yet lively bar.
Entertainment
To keep you gently yet unobtrusively entertained whilst you're
with us in the Ascot Bar we have introduced a few lovely
sounds...
- Our pianist will play on Friday evenings from 7:00pm to
Midnight and also during Afternoon Tea on Saturday and Sunday
afternoons
- A saxophonist or guitarist will play from 7:00pm to Midnight,
Saturday and Sunday evenings

You can also expect an impressive selection of whiskies from the
sumptuous Glenfiddich 50 year old to the unbelievable Macallan
1937.
And as all good bartenders will tell you, ‘if you’ve had a
tough day there is nothing better than falling back into the
welcoming embrace of our bar to sample one of our bespoke
Martinis’ prepared at your table - it certainly charmed Bond
himself when actor Daniel Craig visited the hotel last year.
