After eight highly successful years as head chef of The Latymer, Michael is leaving us to progress his remarkable career at Gidleigh Park in Devon – we wish him well.

Michael will be at the helm of The Latymer until the end of December including throughout Christmas and New Year so don’t miss the opportunity to snap up a table reservation before he departs for his new culinary adventure. Michael’s very last service at The Latymer is on New Year’s Eve when you can experience his perfect 10 course tasting menu. An occasion not to be missed.

Chef Michael describes his cooking as "complex and carefully crafted". Dishes from the seven or ten course tasting menus include Loire valley rabbit, girolles, wet polenta, compressed apple, puffed quinoa; and desserts such as iced lime mousse, crispy coconut and sorbet, poached pineapple.

In the heart of the main kitchen a table of up to eight people can enjoy a bespoke tasting menu by Chef Michael Wignall whilst witnessing the theatre and skill to create it through interactive glass panels with detailed close-ups on a large LCD screen.

12pm - 1.45pm (Wednesday - Friday)


7.00pm - 8.45pm (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
6.30pm  - 9.15pm (Friday & Saturday)

Closed every Sunday and Monday except on Bank Holidays when the restaurant will close on Monday and Tuesday

Please note: The Latymer is closed for the first two weeks of January each year
Dress code: smart - no jeans or trainers. Jacket not required
Age restriction: The Latymer is available for children over the age of 12 years only
