NEW for the ascot bar... Connoisseurs
Club!
The Connoisseurs Club is all about bringing together like-minded
people to enjoy a series of ‘tastings’ of some unusual, rare and
thought-provoking spirits such as Whiskies, Armagnac’s, Cognacs,
Rums and Liquors to name just a few.
Membership allows you to enjoy complimentary attendance at all
our tastings throughout the year – and so here’s some important
dates for your 2012 diary:
- Friday 3rd February: Glenfiddich Tasting with Ambassador

- Friday 13th April: Remy Martin Tasting
- Friday 8th June: Balvenie Tasting
- Friday 8th August: to be confirmed - updates to

- Friday 7th December: Perrier Jouët Tasting with
Ambassador Helen McKenzie
Each tasting includes: an ambassador for each spirit to talk us
through the experience, tasting of at least four spirits plus one
surprise spirit, canapes served between each tasting, a goodie bag
to take home. Arrive 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start.
Membership: £120 PER PERSON
A special accommodation rate is available from
£195 (bed and breakfast) for Connoisseurs Club Members attending
the tastings, subject to availability.

Masterclass
Looking for something a bit
different for your party? Whatever the occasion, if you need a
break from the norm then a Cocktail Masterclass package from AscoT
Bar could really capture people's imaginations. Your guests will
enjoy a great night on both sides of the bar, with a fun,
informative introduction to cocktails, before creating and enjoying
their very own drinks. This fantastic experience teaches you the
secrets of mixology, tricks used by the experts and offers an
fascinating insight to the history of cocktail making.

From 9.00am until late
A varied menu offers a selection
of soups, salads, sandwiches and light meals and following in
the footsteps of Anna, Seventh Duchess of Bedford credited for
introducing the Afternoon Tea to England, we serve savouries,
scones and pastries in The Ascot Bar from 1.00pm - 5.00pm.
From 5.00pm The Ascot Bar transforms into an
intimate yet lively bar.

To keep you gently yet unobtrusively entertained whilst you're
with us in the Ascot Bar we have introduced a few lovely
sounds...
The Ascot bar is proud to have a talented team of
musicians for your enjoyment. From pianists to guitarists,
saxophonists to harpists we are sure you will be impressed with the
variety and quality of the music here at Pennyhill Park. Our
instrumentalists play regularly, and for a special treat why not
sample the livelier Saturday evening, when the Ascot Bar comes
alive with the addition of vocals.
We hope you will agree that our musicians have a
passion which can be clearly heard in their performance. So sit
back, relax and enjoy the music!

You can also expect an impressive selection of whiskies from the
sumptuous Glenfiddich 50 year old to the unbelievable Macallan
1937.
And as all good bartenders will tell you, ‘if you’ve had a
tough day there is nothing better than falling back into the
welcoming embrace of our bar to sample one of our bespoke
Martinis’ prepared at your table - it certainly charmed Bond
himself when actor Daniel Craig visited the hotel last year.
